Car Sales Executive

We are looking for a Sales Executive to join our small and close-knit team here at Oxford German Cars based in Carterton, Oxfordshire. Our ambition is for them to become a long-term, integral part of our business. We are a small, independent Company that specialise in the sale of older German vehicles; primarily BMW's.

A genuine enthusiasm for Cars is essential and likewise a goal-orientated, target driven mindset. Sales Experience would be beneficial though not absolutely essential. The candidate however must be willing to learn and also go through appropriate training. Perhaps this is your first step into Car Sales from another industry or you prefer working for an Independent Dealer having come from a Main Dealer background? Either way, we would love to hear from you. A good personality, a 'glass is half full' mentality and enthusiasm are all paramount!

This role is key to the success of our business and you will be solely responsible for car sales. We generally stock 25-35 vehicles at any one point with a price range of £3-10,000 per car. You will also work closely with the other members in our small team without the red tape found in larger businesses.

Your role will include:

​

• Manage Telephone and Email Enquiries following a Sales Process

• Stock Entry and Preparation Paperwork

• Advertising Vehicles

• Presentation of Vehicles to Customers

• Negotiation, Part Exchange Appraisals and Sale Closure

• Liaising with Customers and Handing over Vehicles

• Dealing with After-Sales Queries

• Day to Day Forecourt and site upkeep

Standard Business hours will be 9am-5:30pm Monday to Friday (with 1 day off during the week), Saturday 9am-5pm and every other Sunday 10am-3pm. Flexibility with our customers is essential and one of our strongest attributes as a small, independent business. Naturally this will lead to more sales and thus higher earnings for the right candidate. We have great reviews and a lot of repeat business since we started trading in 2009.

You will be expected to have a good, sound knowledge of all of the cars we have in stock as well as offer advice on model variants to our customers. Training in this area can also be provided but an enthusiasm and basic knowledge of vehicles would be a real advantage.

Qualifications are preferred but not absolutely vital...however common sense, computer literacy, a 'can do' attitude and a clean Drivers Licence are! References may be required and no previous criminal convictions please.

Achievable and generous Commission Structure (unlike many Main Dealers) on top of Basic Pay with realistic On Target Earnings of £25-30,000+ depending on the candidates ability.

• Driving Licence with no more than 6 endorsement points
